INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADJUSTING HOLDERS WITH EXISTING ALLOY FINGERS IN PLACE (NEW PRODUCTS):

Do not remove the alloy finger from the holder, only do so if necessary, for instance due to replacement installation. (see below for instructions)

Using the limiting torque wrench provided with your holder, it is important to not over torque the alloy finger. While looking at the screw it is important to LOOSEN the screw only a quarter of a turn COUNTER CLOCKWISE, make your adjustment by sliding the alloy finger in the slot, and then using the supplied limited torque wrench, turn the screw CLOCKWISE LIGHTLY to TIGHTEN. The amount of torque to hold the alloy finger in place is very minimal.

Never use a standard allen or hex key as too much force created from these tools may strip the threads in the alloy finger.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING ALLOY FINGERS:

With the worn living or alloy finger removed, place the new alloy finger in the slot with the screw removed, and hold in place with your finger in one hand. With you opposite hand, roughly place the screw in the slot on the opposite side of the alloy finger. It does not have to be in the screw hole yet, grab with your opposite hand the limiting torque 5/64" hex key wrench (small tool) and match up to the screw head. From here it should be very easy to find the screw hole while turning the wrench CLOCKWISE and LIGHTLY TIGHTEN with the alloy finger in the closed position. Now complete as necessary in other locations. Once all alloy fingers are replaced, you can then move on to the next procedure of configuring it to your bare or cased device.

  1. Gorilla Grip screws but other wise great holder 4 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Dec 2014

In the instructions it states " Don't Gorilla Grip screws when tightening". Boy oh Boy they mean exactly what they say because they will strip out very easy. Why not put metal sleeves inside the plastic!
