A designed and made in the USA single artistic shape from 2.25 pounds of 0.120 inch thick solid steel. This award winning design creates an extremely low center of gravity that keeps the iPad fixed in the stand, earning its stabile name that other stands cannot duplicate.
Beyond the sleek look, this iPad stand has many characteristic features that inspire you to use the stand daily. The split back cable management keeps control of your charge cable and wires. All finishes are oven baked for superior durability. Instantly use without or with a case or skin, in portrait or landscape orientation, and look great doing it.
The Stable 2.0 iPad stand is stable and massive, made from 100% solid USA steel. There is no compromise with this material, the strength that is achieved with a design from solid steel allows for the best rigidity and superior feel while using your iPad.
Elevated 3.625 inches high and ergonomically fixed at 55 degrees, allows for a viewing from all aspects and creating a great keyboard storage location underneath the device, saving space. Quality 3M anti slip feet prevents sliding on your desk, table or kitchen counter. Thick vinyl padding protects your iPad where it rests in the stand.

The Stabile 2.0 iPad stand is great, with one minor issue.
It may not be as solid as the Stabile 1.0, but it is the strongest stand that I've seen outside of 1.0.
My one issue with the stand: I use my iPad in landscape (horizontal) position most of the time. Due to the position of my electrical socket (on the left side of my desk), I have to position the pad with the volume buttons on the bottom. The lower right arm of the Stabile touches those volume buttons when the iPad is centered on them. When I touch the screen normally, there is enough pressure to unintentionally change the volume.
My solution at the moment is to have the iPad positioned to the right, so that the volume buttons don't touch the Stabile's arm. This looks a little odd, with the iPad extended to the right a bit, but the iPad is stable in this position. The odd positioning is better than changing the volume every time I touch the screen.

Thought Out Company Response:
Jim, thank you for your review.
You are absolutely right, however we do feel users would naturally want to have the volume button on the top while in the landscape position. In this oreintation the volume buttons (on top) are easiest to access and function, this is our position recommendation.

Rugged, sturdy and elegant, the Stabile is 4 pounds of solid steel and compliments the iPad perfectly. So perfectly in fact, you'd think Apple designed it themselves.

A very good stand, what else is there to say. It is sturdy and stable. Great for any tablet, not just iPads.

The best iPad stand all of the word. Amazing.

Well, having been a long time user of the original Stabile 1.0, I was suprised to read that the new one is lighter. But trust me on this, this is not a problem... the 2.0 is every bit as rock steady.
I do wish they matched better, though! The new rubber iPad holders are probably an improvement, as they cover more surface area, but now my stands look different from the back, the usual view I have entering the room.
The first version was far more elegant with the rubber pads hidden. And what's that little hole drilled into the top back of the base? It looks like I just cheaped out and declined to purchase an optional accessory.
But, it's still the VERY BEST iPad stand you can buy. Oh, well.

WISH I HAD FOUND THIS MOST FUNCTIONAL AND ATTRACTIVE STAND MONTHS AGO!
DELIVERY FROM THEIR OFFICE IN THE NORTHEAST WAS A QUICK 3 DAYS TO FLORIDA! ARRIVED IN PREFECT CONDITION, AND PACKAGED AS THOUGH IT WAS THE HOPE DIAMOND.
IT QUITE SIMPLY HAS EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT WITHOUT RESERVATION. IT ELEVATES THE IPAD TO A MOST COMFORTABLE AND ERGONOMIC LEVEL, AND DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL, WHILE COMPOSING EMAILS, ETC.
THE DESIGN IS MOST ATTRACTIVE AND SHOULD BE ON DISPLAY IN THE GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM.
